Shanling M6 Ultra Portable Audio Player

The Shanling M6 Ultra is the significantly updated successor to the previously popular M6 models in several respects. The highly anticipated high-definition audio player features four 32-bit AK4493SEQ DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) chips in a unique balanced architecture with outstanding output performance, offering flexible use and a premium listening experience in full harmony with the 8-core Snapdragon 665 processor and Android 10 (AGLO) technology. Wirelessly, it can both transmit and receive signals at LDAC resolution with Bluetooth 5 connectivity, and support NAS, DLNA and AirPlay for remote music listening via WiFi 2.4G/5G connection. Behind the 5" 1080p display built into the aluminium casing is a 5650mAh battery capable of 18W QC3.0 fast charging, providing up to 13.5 hours of playback via the 3.5mm single-ended output. In addition to 16X MQA decoding, it also processes high-resolution 32bit 768kHz and native DSD512 signals. For the M6 Ultra, the manufacturer has designed a proprietary operational amplifier and buffer-based (4xOPA1612 + 2xOPA2211 + LTA8092 + BUF634A) balanced analogue circuitry, delivering a clean, powerful 720mW max power output on the 4.4mm balanced output.

Newest 4 AKM AK4493S DACs

M6 Ultra is our first portable player adapting the newest generation of AKM DACs, utilizing four pieces of AK4493SEQ for a unique Quad-DACs design. Serving as a perfect alternative to our ESS Sabre-based M7 portable player. This multi-DACs concept was inspired by a few old-school Shanling CD players, with an aim to maximise the potential of DACs for a balanced circuit. Now with four DACs, we are able to divide the signal four ways between each of them, achieving a completely independent fully balanced output. Amplifier design was further adjusted for this Quad-DACs array, allowing for a higher power output than was possible on our previous AKM-based M6 models. Offering up to 720 mW @ 32 Ohm output.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 CPU

The rest of the M6 Ultra follows the high standard set by our latest Android players. Running on a much faster Snapdragon 665 CPU, which guarantees sufficient performance for always smooth playback of even high-resolution data, including smooth navigation through extensive media libraries.

Android 10 Operating System

The new Shanling M6 Ultra HiFi Android Player also belongs in the DAP category with Google Android as the operating system, which ultimately applies to almost all such solutions on the market. A wide variety of apps, above all the apps from various streaming providers, can be easily installed via the Google PLAY Store.

5-inch 1080p Touch Screen & Stunning New Color

Operated through a nicely bright 5-inch 1080p touch screen and all packed into Shanling’s classic aluminum & glass build, this time inspired by the curves of M3X and M8. With M6 Ultra we are also adding a new color to our portable players, stunning Emerald Green. You can combine it with a matching green leather case or go a more traditional way and opt for a black M6 Ultra and a brown leather case. (Leather case sold separately).

Bluetooth 5.0

The Bluetooth module of the new Shanling M6 Ultra HiFi Android Player is designed as a transceiver, so it can send and receive, whereby in addition to SBC, AAC and aptX also aptX HD and LDAC and thus signal transmission up to 24 bit and 96 kHz is supported.
