The VK Medi is a unique product. It houses the thickest HEPA filter for ultimate purification, a powerful fan for optimum air circulation, and the highest certified air sterilization technology in the world for unparalleled test results against viruses, bacteria, toxic gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The pre filters need to be cleaned on a weekly basis in order to keep the unit working at maximum efficiency. Not cleaning the pre filter for an extended period of time might lead to fan failure. Simply remove the filter trays and vacuum clean the pre filter. The pre filter is always at the bottom. All our units have integrated timers and will display a warning message when it’s time to change certain consumables. (Inclusive of reactor chamber, pre-filter, HEPA Filter 35mm, HEPA Filter 150mm & Carbon Filters 20mm).

All filters can be very easily changed by the client. The reactor cell can also be changed by the client but it does require a bit of technical knowledge.

The VK Medi is a plug and play unit and does not require specialized installation. However, placement of this and any other Viruskiller™ for that matter, is extremely important. The VK Medi has a special airflow element at the top that helps create the laminar airflow that is required in operating theaters. The unit must be placed in such a way that the airflow is maximized.
