All external metal parts, including screws, back cover, buckle, and even button shafts are made of titanium alloy for total protection, even in seawater environments.

The band is secured to the case by milled titanium alloy screws, while the form of the forged titanium alloy back provides outstanding impact resistance.

The band is configured so it does not adhere to the wrist when wet.

Functions include Tide Graph for current tide conditions at a glance, Moon Phase Graph for graphic display of moon phases, and Dual Illuminator for simultaneous illumination of the display and its periphery.

Dual EL panels provide simultaneous illumination of the LCD panel and the dial for better readability when available lighting is dim.

Built specially for seafaring use, Gulfman employs titanium construction for all metal parts that come into contact with air, from the bis, case back and buckle to the button shafts. A titanium bis has also been adopted for the band attachment to provide rust-resistant countermeasures down to the smallest detail.
