The Hegel H390 provides 250 watts per channel amplification (into 8ohms, 420wpc into 4ohms) an output that can drive many high end loudspeakers with consummate ease.At the heart of the H390 is Hegel‘s patented SoundEngine 2 amplifier section, which, in many ways, works similarly to a noise canceling headphone. A processor inside will sample what comes into the amplifier and compares it to what comes out, which provides extremely musical and natural sound.Hegel’s DualAmp technology separates out the voltage gain stage and current gain stages that are usually made combined in other amplifiers, allowing specific circuitry to do a better job, which helps to preserve dynamic range and reduce distortion . ​DualPower technology supplies the output stage with a different power feed to that of the input and voltage gain stages.
