5-Channel Discrete Amplifier with Eco Mode

The power amp section features discrete high current power output devices, identical on all 5 channels for precision soundstage uniformity. Rated at 50W per channel, the NR1509 features low impedance drive capability and is compatible with 4 Ohm speakers. The Eco mode provides energy savings and features an on-screen Eco meter.

Built-In Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and AirPlay Capability

Equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless streaming connectivity, the NR1509 features a dual-antenna RF transceiver system for robust streaming, even in congested environments. With AirPlay, you can enjoy your favorite tracks wirelessly from your favorite iOS device. AirPlay 2 enables multi-music streaming over connected compatible equipment, including your Apple HomePod speakers, and is scheduled to be made available via a future firmware update.

HEOS Wireless Multi-Room Streaming

With built-in HEOS technology, you can share music stored on your home network, Internet radio, or streaming services with your HEOS wireless speakers or other HEOS-capable receivers throughout the house, and control it all with the free HEOS app. Supported services include TuneIn, Internet radio, and a range of streaming services, including Pandora, Spotify, Amazon Prime Music, iHeartRadio, SiriusXM, SoundCloud, Tidal, Napster, and Deezer.

Hi-Res Audio

The NR1509 lets you discover the fidelity of high resolution audio tracks with the ability to decode ALAC, FLAC, and WAV lossless files up to 24-bit/192 kHz, as well as DSD 2.8 and 5.6 MHz tracks (the audiophile format of SACD) via the front-panel USB port and network sources. You can also listen to other popular file types, such as MP3.

Dual Subwoofer Outputs

The NR1509 supports two subwoofers; used in different locations within the main room, these will even out the low-frequency response for enhanced bass accuracy nearly anywhere in the listening area.

Smart TV Connectivity

Via the HDMI CEC (consumer electronics control) functionality on some smart TVs, it’s possible to control the NR1509 with the TV’s remote handset. With the receiver’s “HDMI control” set to ON, select “Smart Menu” receiver control functions and the TV’s Smart Menu home screen will provide you direct access to source and surround mode selections, the main setup menu, and Smart Select configuration presets.
