Microsoft Xbox Series S 512GB All Digital Console Disc-Free Gaming - White
Get a 1440p HDR gaming experience with the Microsoft Xbox Series S Gaming Console. 12 teraflops of processing power is housed in the system on a chip (SOC), which works with AMD’s Zen 2 and RDNA architectures. With hardware-accelerated DirectX raytracing, you’ll experience realistic lighting, shadows, and reflections in dynamic, living worlds. Games built with the Xbox Series X|S development kit will have significantly reduced load times and stunning visuals at up to 120 fps. Speaking of reduced load times, the Xbox Series S features a custom 512GB NVMe SSD and Xbox Velocity Architecture. These two features allow for Quick Resume, which allows you to seamlessly switch between multiple titles and resume instantly from where you left off. You no longer have to completely close a game to open a new one. If you need additional storage, you can purchase the 1TB Seagate Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S (sold separately). Just plug it into the dedicated slot on the back of the system and it’ll replicate the console’s custom SSD experience, providing additional storage at the same performance. As mentioned before, games sporting the Optimized for Series X|S icon will provide the best performance on the Xbox Series S. Microsoft also introduces Smart Delivery. With Smart Delivery, you can buy a supported game once and always have the best available version for whatever console you play on. For example, if you purchase a supported digital game on Xbox One and eventually make the move to the Series S, the Series S digital version will be made available to you. All Xbox Game Studio titles that are optimized for Series S will support Smart Delivery. Microsoft also stated that Smart Delivery will be made available to other third-party developers who choose to take advantage of it.The Xbox Wireless Controller still has the same fan-favorite design, with some upgrades. First thing you’ll notice is the new Share button, allowing you to instantly share your wins (and fails). The textured triggers and bumpers keep you from slipping during intense gaming sessions. The D-Pad now has an updated hybrid design for more precise control. The Xbox Series S is made for all digital gaming, which means it does not have an optical drive. Instead, you can access your digital library of games. Your games, saves, and backups safe in the cloud. Plus, enjoy the ability to preorder and preinstall upcoming games so you can play as soon as they launch. You also have the freedom to play a day one launch title, one of over a hundred favorites in the Xbox Game Pass library (sold separately), or any of thousands of backward compatible classics. To take full advantage of the Xbox Series S, it is recommended that you connect to a HDR compatible TV via the HDMI 2.1 port with the included HDMI cable. Make sure that HDR is enabled on your TV and it is connected to the correct HDMI input on your TV. Don’t forget to purchase Xbox Live Gold (sold separately) if you want access to online multiplayer features. You can connect to the internet via a wired Gigabit Ethernet connection (recommended) or wirelessly via Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac).
