Intense pulsed light technology (IPL)
IPL technology involves applying small light pulses on the bristles. The hairs then fall naturally and regrowth is slowed, giving you skin soft as silk.
Philips Lumea and your skin
Before purchasing or using an IPL device, first check it for you. Philips Lumea has five light intensity settings to ensure a gentle but effective hair removal, suitable for many skin and hair colors. Make sure that yours are among those colors.
Intense pulsed light and different skin types
Like other light-based methods of hair removal, the effectiveness of intense pulsed light depends on the melanin content in the hair. Melanin is the color pigment which absorbs light of the IPL. The low level of melanin in light blonde hair, white / gray and red does not allow hair removal sessions with the light to be effective. The IPL hair removal does not suitable for women with naturally dark skin.
Using the Lumea
Lumea is nice, simple and convenient to use. It allows you to get clear skin, soft as silk after only a few sessions. It is not necessary to purchase replacement bulbs or gels for use. The range includes models Lumea wireless * for comfort. Simply check that the product is suitable for your skin type and hair, and then follow some simple guidelines.
