Details
Expand your culinary horizons with this superb microwave from AEG. Its 26 litre capacity and 32.5cm turntable can accommodate even large dinner plates, meaning you’ll be able to use it for a wide range of recipes. It comes with a number of automatic programmes too, so it’ll make short work of defrosting last night’s casserole, or adding a delicious cheesy topping to pasta bakes with the grill function. And the powerful 900 Watt output means you’ll never be waiting long for your meals to be ready. The stylish touch controls make operating this microwave a delight too – open the door with just a tap, or save up to 3 of your favourite settings to access them at the push of a button.
Touch to open
You’ll be able to get cooking straight away with this microwave, thanks to its touch control opening. When you’re ready to pop in your food, just give the door a tap and it’ll open for you. This is really easy to use, and means you’ll never be left fumbling with fiddly buttons.
Enjoy your favourites at your fingertips
Because you can save your most-used settings, you’ll be able to select them more easily. Just choose your desired programme, and press the star-shaped icon on the control panel. This will remember them for you, so the next time you need to use them, they’ll just be a quick touch away.
Ideal for custard jugs and gravy boats
Thanks to the re-turntable feature, it’s a lot easier to take out piping hot cookware. When your meals have finished cooking, the turntable will bring your dish back round to the starting position. This is perfect for anything with a handle, as you’ll be able to grab it straight away without having to twizzle it round to find it.
Spend less time cleaning
With a specially designed interior, this model is really easy to clean. Each side is made out of smooth glass, so there are no nooks and crannies for bits of food to become wedged in. This means it’ll just need a quick wipe down with a cloth every now and then, rather than a tough scrub.
Make deliciously bubbly cheese on toast
This model comes with a grill function, so it’s just as great for light snacks as it is for full-blown meals. You can choose which setting you want from the simple control panel, whether you’re in the mood for some cheese on toast for lunch, or you’re cooking a lasagna for dinner.
Tips for measuring up
There are two types of built-in microwave you can buy – standard and compact. This is a standard model, which means it’s around 60cm wide. Measure your kitchen space to make sure it’ll fit. Also, you’ll need to check the depth of the space, as built in microwaves vary between 45 and 60cm.
