The camera boasts a 12.5x optical zoom, which takes advantage of the Multi Frame SR Zoom to enable 25x zoom. The 12.1 megapixel camera features a 24 mm wide-angle lens with image stabiliser as well as the new HDR technology, ensuring that it delivers brilliant photos, even in the most exciting situations. 12.5x optical zoom with mechanical image stabiliser
It’s easy to zoom in on those special moments: the 12,5x optical zoom can bring even the most distant subjects right up close, while the mechanical image stabiliser automatically reduces blurring. The EX-ZR100 has everything you need in any situation and guarantees outstanding photos.
HDR function
Press the shutter release button, and the HDR function creates multiple shots with different lighting, and combines these into a brilliant single photo with high contrast depth. With this function, both light and dark surfaces are evenly accentuated, whereas areas that are too bright or too dark are attenuated. This innovative technology is made possible by means of the new EXILIM Engine HS with high-speed recording and the “High-Sensitivity CMOS Sensor” with 12.1 megapixels.
High-speed Continuous Shooting
With the ability to take up to 30 photos per second, the EX-ZR100 can take high-resolution shots, each with up to 10 megapixels — at a recording speed of 40 fps. This way, you will always capture exactly the right moment! The number of photos per second can be varied, so that 10 photos can be stored before and 20 photos after a complete shutter cycle, for example.
High-speed film recording
The EX-ZR100 can shoot high-speed film recordings of movements that are too fast for the naked eye, enabling them to be played back in ultra-slow motion. You can select a recording speed of 240 fps for fascinating slow-motion recordings, as well as 480 fps or 1000 fps. Simply press the Movie button — and recording begins.
Full HD videos and HDMI connection
Film your videos in full High Definition quality*! Thanks to the EX-ZR100, you are now able to capture brilliant videos in full HD (H.264) with a resolution of up to 1920×1080 pixels, 12.5x optical zoom and stereo sound. And what’s more, while recording films you can continue to take photos with the High-speed Continuous Shooting feature, using the Still In Movie function. The EX-ZR100 also features a mini HDMI output socket and can be connected to an HD-compatible TV using a HDMI cable (ordered separately) — allowing you to view the videos on a large screen whenever it suits you.
