Entry-level performance

This notebook provides a basic computing power. It can be used for the daily home and office tasks, but operation won’t be as smooth as on the mid-range or high-performance laptops. This is by far the most popular laptop screen size. It provides a lot of screen real estate, while avoiding bulkiness of the 17.3″ laptops.

Processor (CPU)
Intel Core i3-N305

The Core i3-N305 is an entry-level laptop CPU. It’s a stripped-down version of the lower-mid-range Core i3 U series. In most day-to-day computing scenarios the performance difference won’t be very noticeable. The i3 in general doesn’t perform as fast as the Core i5 and i7 (especially P and H series), but that’s noticeable mostly in more demanding tasks like multimedia creation.

Graphics (GPU)

The entry-level processors by Intel, such as the N series, Celeron, and Pentium, usually feature the UHD series graphics. It is a very basic graphics processing unit, suitable only for the lightest PC games. Depending on the processor model, performance of the included UHD graphics may vary slightly.

System Memory (RAM) Size
8GB RAM

The 8GB RAM size is the standard one in 2023. It provides comfortable multi-tasking for the most home and office users. Keep in mind that 8GB may be not enough for some demanding programs and many newer games.

Data Storage
256GB SSD

256GB is a decent capacity. If you tend to download and store a lot of large files like movies and install many programs, 512GB or more is a better choice.

Keyboard with dedicated number pad. There’s a separate numeric pad located on the right side of the keyboard. Touchpad with click buttons built into the surface. The left and right click buttons are built into the surface of the touchpad, as opposed to separate physical buttons.

As usual, the device features a pair of built-in stereo speakers. Combo microphone and headphones audio jack. This laptop has the ordinary 3.5mm combo audio jack that supports both headphone output and microphone input simultaneously.

Front-facing web camera

Laptops usually feature a frontal webcam located on the display bezel. This laptop is no exception.

HD 720p resolution

This is the most common web camera resolution in laptops. However, it’s low in comparison to camera resolutions of modern smartphones, so it can’t produce as sharp picture.

Wi-Fi 6 802.11AX wireless

The 802.11AX is currently the most used Wi-Fi wireless networking standard in laptops. It’s also known as Wi-Fi 6. When connected to 802.11AX-compatible routers, the 802.11AX modules in laptops bring improvements over the older standards in terms of data transfer speeds and multi-device connectivity. In some of the latest 2024 laptops, 802.11AX is being replaced by 802.11BE.
