With 60 percent smoother glide, ironing can be turned into an effortless task you might even enjoy. Swiftly smoothing out the creases in your clothes, the one temperature iron will glide across every fabric with ease. Allowing you to iron your way through a sizeable pile of clothes without the arm ache – ironing has never been easier. How it works? On a traditional iron the soleplate is the heating element and has two jobs; to heat up and to create steam. On the Russell Hobbs One Temperature iron, the soleplate and heating element are two separate pieces. The soleplate remains at a constant 140 degrees Celsius and the heating element can achieve up to 210 degrees Celsius which is how the steam is generated. Instead of water hitting the soleplate and turning to steam as it would on a traditional iron. The water in the One Temperature iron hits the heating element and turns to steam, allowing the iron to have large steam outputs. How does it do it? Russell Hobbs have engineered a 2 mm air gap which allows both the soleplate and heating element to be two different temperatures. The temperature of the soleplate is always 140 degrees Celsius, which is a safe and effective temperature to iron all iron-able fabrics.
